Lakeland Retreat – Extreme Make Over

Lakeland Retreat – Extreme Make Over

This week sees completion of a beautiful ‘home from home’ project up in the Lake District that Luci Living Design has worked on for the past 12 months under the guidance of Martin Nealon of Angel Martin International, lead designer who designed and oversaw the project.

The project has involved the full redesign, re configuration of the building, extensive building work and a full turn-key fit out of the bungalow property transforming it into an exclusive, comfortable and yet super contemporary holiday home.

The project has benefited from skilled building work, new furnishings and decor throughout, shutters, soft furnishings, bespoke joinery, stand out artwork, a designer kitchen, beautiful bathrooms, feature lighting, lutron home automation, outdoor kitchen, seating terrace, jacuzzi, garden landscaping and much more.

Martin describes the project …

“The client wanted a simple modern interior with an open plan central living space.

We had the autonomy to design the building, the gardens and the interior to provide a complete design package for the client.

The interior was based on a white pallet with black and chrome as the accent to create contrast. The bedrooms were identified with key colours to make them individual spaces for the children.

Lighting schemes were of particular importance so we specified a Lutron system that the client could control from an iPad”

In addition regarding the stunningly modern garden he states …

“Garden design is becoming an important element of our work.

We are interior designers by trade but feel it important that the garden should be a functioning part of the interior layout and the scheme should run through to create a natural flow between all areas”

PROJECT UPDATE:  Luci Living Design is excited to learn that this Lake District project is set to be featured in a number of design magazines in the coming months and is to be included in a highly anticipated ‘Architecture Today – Interior Design’ book which will have an international release.
