MPW Bardolino Restaurant Birmingham

MPW Bardolino Restaurant Birmingham

Location: Canalside, The Cube, Birmingham

Project Date: February 2016

Project: Marco Pierre White, Bardolino Restaurant

Marco Pierre White has opened the first Bardolino Pizzeria Bellini and Espresso Bar. The restaurant, first in a new exciting chain planned by the TV Chef is situated canal side at the bottom of The Cube, Birmingham. Bardolino takes its name from Marco’s mother’s birthplace in northern Italy.

The Birmingham restaurant scheme and the initial Bardolino brand design package were put together by Luci Living Design. The contract was under the instruction and guidance of Black and White Hospitality, following her appointment as brand designer for the same company two years ago which franchises restaurants nationally under the Marco Pierre White name. The Bardolino restaurant interior is casual in style with mostly Mediterranean influences. It boasts an eclectic design and décor in a range of muted colours, with rustic timber accents and furniture finishes. Edison bulb bespoke feature jam jar lighting hangs in clusters from colourful vintage looking twisted electrical cords, geometric patterned tiled areas are mixed with an eye-catching chevron wooden flooring in various shades, white metro tiles cover much of the walls with jam jar style wall lights breaking up the plain and colourful artwork chosen by Marco himself adorning the walls. The seating arrangements are a mix of rustic bench banquette seating, a larges chefs table, mixed stool and chair styles in painted and wood finishes, some upholstered in coordinating leathers punctuated by the occasional patterned seat back. We look forward seeing our designs rolled out nationally with the future success and expansion of the Bardolino brand.
